Meet Our Coaches

Founder & Head Coach
Chris Probert
Chris Probert is the Founder and a Head Coach of Alpine Racing Collective (ARC), Park City’s newest and fastest-growing youth alpine ski program. With over a decade of vision behind it, Chris launched ARC to redefine athlete development through a combination of technical precision, biomechanical principles, and a strong, cohesive team culture.
Chris’s coaching philosophy is grounded in the biomechanical methodologies of the Harb University teaching system, which serves as the foundation for ARC’s commitment to technical excellence. These principles are implemented consistently across the coaching staff, creating a unified and effective approach that supports each athlete’s progression.
Under Chris’s leadership, ARC achieved the rare distinction of earning U.S. Ski & Snowboard’s Bronze Podium Club status in under six months—an accomplishment that typically takes even well-established clubs years to achieve. This early milestone reflects the strength of ARC’s program and its focus on developing athletes who excel both on and off the mountain.

Chris’s vision for ARC has been more than 13 years in the making. Through his leadership, the club has forged strategic partnerships, introduced innovative training systems, and cultivated a community where athletes are empowered to grow in both performance and character. His commitment to creating meaningful pathways for young racers is at the heart of ARC’s mission.

When Chris isn’t coaching, he’s often found exploring new training ideas or skiing with his wife and kids—who are proud members of the ARC community.

Alpine Program Director & Head Coach
Cody Marshall
Cody Marshall is a retired U.S. Ski Team athlete, former World Cup slalom racer, and the Program Director and Head Coach of ARC. He discovered his love for skiing at the age of two and was inspired to race after watching Phil and Steve Mahre win gold and silver at the Sarajevo Olympics. Thirteen years later, Cody stood in the World Cup start gate himself, competing among the best in the world.
Cody’s path to the U.S. Ski Team was anything but traditional. Without relying on the usual routes, he forged his own way through perseverance, grit, and an unwavering belief in what was possible. That independent spirit continues to shape his work today.
After retiring from competition, Cody blended his passion for coaching with a career in private equity—helping elite athletes, including his now wife, three-time Olympian Megan McJames, pursue their own racing goals while also guiding businesses with the same discipline and strategic thinking that defined his skiing career.

What drew Cody to ARC was more than just a return to racing—it was the team’s commitment to holistic development and building individuals of strong character, integrity, and confidence. These are the same principles that defined Cody’s journey as an athlete and professional.
At ARC, Cody brings a rare combination of World Cup experience, coaching insight, and business leadership to support the next generation of ski racers—on the hill and beyond. When he’s not coaching, he enjoys mountain biking, golfing, and adventuring with his wife and their two daughters.

Coach
Dave Baker
Dave is passionate about sport and sharing his passion through coaching by creating inclusive, positive learning environments. Growing up in Maryland, Dave started his sports career playing lacrosse at age 4. He played lacrosse and tennis at the collegiate level, later coaching college lacrosse. Dave has a diverse background coaching multiple sports at all age groups, which gives him the tools and understanding to relate to most athletes.
Dave discovered his love of skiing in high school where he would drive two hours to his “local” hill every weekend. He became a PSIA ski instructor in Pennsylvania in 2009. His family moved to Utah from the east coast for the mountain life and to ski the greatest snow on Earth. At Snowbasin, Dave served as a ski instructor, then coached the Alpine Development Team, and was invited to coach the C Team for the Snowbasin Sport Education Foundation. Dave continuously works to level up his knowledge of skiing fundamentals and alpine racing; he is always excited to share what he’s learned. With a degree in sport management, Dave also appreciates the administrative side of running a sports organization.
Off snow, you can find Dave mountain biking, golfing, and still playing lacrosse.

She qualified for the national team at age 16 and was on the Nor-Am and Europa Cup team from 2011-2014.
